Green Panoramas

I had to go to a photo shop today to drop off my camera body because I had specks of crap on my sensor.  Quite frightening.
The problem with the specks was that they would only show up when my f-stop was greater than 11.  I tend to shoot with low f-stops...so I didn't learn that they were there until I was in the middle of some nice landscapes.  I had no intention of trying to blow those specks out of there while at the beach.  So, needless to say, some of those shots were ruined by stupid bits of dirt and dust and whatever.
So yes, for now my camera is gone.  I should have it back early tomorrow morning.  It should be clean.  It better be clean.

It was on the way to the photo shop that I got these nice panoramas...

Ireland.  In the morning. Trees and hills and meadows and pastures and fog.

Protecting the Cypress

This morning, during the Golden Hour, I went for a nice run.  Before the beautiful lighting was gone I went back home, grabbed my camera and sought out my daily photo.  I found this tree (I think it's some kind of cypress) behind a flimsy little fence with a backdrop of yellow leaves reflecting the early sunlight.  Even the browns and slight reds of the bark gain some vibrancy from the lighting...

Green Dragon

I was going to post a time lapse video of the sun rising at the Green Dragon (our local flea market).  The file was too bid and I don't have time to figure out how to compress it...this was my first attempt at a time lapse video.  I'm heading out for a canoe trip, so I will have to use the other pictures I got from the Green Dragon this morning.

Sir
While shooting my video, a guy on a bike rode up.  It was this guy, a good friend of mine.  He was biking back from work.

Bench
I told him we should get breakfast at the Green Dragon (it was 6 in the morning).  He agreed.  On our way to food we passed this.

Jake and Leona's
This is where we ate.  It was good food.

Sunrise

I knew that I would have a busy day today, what with moving the entire contents of my apartment to another location, so I brought my camera to work, thinking I might find something there...and thus get my photo before the mayhem began.
I frequently pass a little stream on my way to work.  This stream is always overflowing, which has made the surrounding area seem almost wetland like.  Often, on my way to work a light fog can be seen rolling through this area.  My hope was to get a shot of this.  I did.  The mist was nice, but I metered for the sky instead, in that the sunrise was beautiful and created a nice back drop to the silhouette of the treeline.

Wetland Sunrise
I doubt it actually can be classified as a wetland.  But it is a nice area.  The sunrise made it even nicer than it normally is.

Ceiling

I frequently come across this building just as the sun is in line with the blue windows.  The ceiling itself is normally a whitish-yellow color but gets pretty bright when the sun shines through the windows and onto it.  The cross bars and piping and whatever else is up there become overly saturated with color and this is the result:

Complimentary Colors
Any time I saw the ceiling in this stage of lighting, I always got mad at myself for not having my camera.  Knowing I would witness the colors playing their games on the ceiling today, I brought it.  I flipped the image upside down to get a more dramatic look.
